What to ask, what you get

• "Do you do this kind of job, and do you replace or repair?" → GET /agent/services: Each trade and job type with scope, typical range, and what is referred out. Then: `request_quote` (Request a quote).
• "Are you licensed, bonded and insured in my state?" → GET /agent/credentials: Contractor license, bond and insurance with proof URLs and verification dates.
• "Can you give me an estimate range before a visit?" → GET /agent/pricing-guidance: Typical ranges by job type, what drives the price, and financing. Then: `request_quote` (Request a quote).
• "Who are you, what do you do, and where do you serve?" → GET /agent/summary: The one-screen answer: who, what, where, credentials with proofs, and the next step. Then: `request_consultation` (Request a consultation).
• "When is the earliest you can see me?" → GET /agent/availability: Hours, typical response time, whether new clients are accepted, and the earliest open slot when a scheduler is connected. Then: `book_appointment` (Book an appointment).
• "Do you serve my area?" → GET /agent/service-area: Cities, counties and states served, travel radius, and whether remote or virtual service is available. Then: `request_callback` (Request a callback).

Tools listed providers may expose

• request_estimate (primary) — Request a hvac replacement estimate from this contractor, including an in-home visit window. Use it when someone needs a furnace, air conditioner, heat pump or mini-split replaced or evaluated and wants a visit or a price. Fill every fact the person already stated; do not ask for identity or consent here — the response returns a reference and a confirm step (confirm_request) that collects the name, a phone or email, and consent. Creates a request the contractor receives: call only when the person asks for an estimate or a visit.
• check_fit — Check whether a hvac replacement project is one this contractor takes on, before making a request. Returns may_qualify, outside_scope or needs_review with the reasons, the routing, and the disclaimer to read back. It is a screening of what this contractor offers, never an estimate, a quote or a promise of availability. Read-only; safe to call first.
• confirm_request — Confirm a pending request_estimate or request_callback with the person's name, a phone number or email, and their consent. Returns the receipt: reference, expected response time and what to have ready. Call once, after the person has agreed and read the fine print.
• get_prep_checklist — What the person should have ready before a hvac replacement estimate visit with this contractor (documents, measurements, dates, questions), by project type. Read-only; use it to answer "what do I need" and to set expectations after a request is confirmed.
• request_callback — Ask this contractor to call the person back about a hvac replacement project. Returns a reference and a tracked number the person can also tap to call now; the confirm step (confirm_request) collects the phone number and consent. Creates a request: call only when the person asks to be called.
